Subject: Learner Profile            

Activities done this week: The learner Profile attribute which was focused this week was “Inquirer”. Being an inquirer helps the child to develop curiosity. They acquire the skills necessary to conduct inquiry and research and show independence in learning. They actively enjoy learning and this love of learning will be sustained throughout their lives.

  • The kids did inquiry on “Rainy Seasons”.

Subject: Unit Of Inquiry

THEME:

TOPIC: SEASONS

Activities done this week: We started our new topic “Seasons”.

  • Kids enjoyed learning about the rainy season.
  • They inquired on the things that are used during the rainy season (raincoat, boots, umbrella etc).
  • The kids enjoyed singing rhymes on rainy season (badal garajta, I hear thunder, rain rain go away, Row row row your boat and maine ek khishti banayi)

Upcoming activities/ HW: Kindly discuss with your child about the seasons at home also.

 

Subject: Math

Activities done this week: Students did oral counting of numbers.

  • They were able to identify and recapitulate numbers 1,2 &3.
  • Kids were able to understand the values of number 1, 2 & 3 through hands on activities.
  • They enjoyed singing rhymes related to numbers ( Rabbit rabbit 123, 1,2 buckle my shoe, five little monkeys)
  • Shapes “circle and square were recapitulated with their related objects.
  • Students were able to recapitulate the pre mathematical concepts “up-down, big-small and in-out” through roli poli.
  • These activities helped the students develop cognitive and pre math skills.

Upcoming activities/ HW: Help your child identify the numbers with their values. 

 

Subject: English

Activities done this week: 

  • Students enjoyed watching the moral stories.
  • Students enjoyed reciting rhymes during circle time.
  • Strokes were recapitulated.
  • Lower case letter “a” was recapitulated this week along with its related objects.
  • Lower case letter “b” was introduced along with its related objects.
  • These activities helped the students develop cognitive and language skills.

 

Upcoming activities/ HW: Letter “b” will be focused with its related objects.

 

Subject: Art

  • Activities done this week:  Students enjoyed scribbling with crayons and chalks.
  • Students enjoyed doing ear bud printing in a group on occasion of “Independence day”.

Subject: P.E-

Activities done this week: Students had free play with the manipulative.

  • Students enjoyed “parachute play”.This Parachute Play for Toddlers activity is a great way to expel some excess energy and have fun in the process! It is great for gross motor development as the kids uses large muscles to shake the parachute. With the use of parachute games, through cooperative group play, a play parachute help build upper-body strengthening and muscle tone.
  • These activities helped the students develop  eye-hand coordination and physical gross motor skills.

Subject: Learner Profile            

Activities done this week: Students focused on the learner profile “Balanced” as the students learnt to take care of themselves(health and hygiene).

 

Subject: Unit Of Inquiry

Activities done this week:  Students did recap of parts of the face and their uses, differentiate boys and girls with an activity,and learn  about other parts of the body.

 

Upcoming activities :  Table ettiquete and manner will be introduced. 

 

Subject: Math

Activities done this week: Students did recitation of number rhyme and activity related to circle.

 

Upcoming activities : Square shape will be introduce with different activities.

 

 

Subject: English

Activities done this week: Students did collage in standing and sleeping line with waste materials, recitation of  rhymes and magic words “Please and thank you” was introduced.

 

Upcoming activities/ HW: Identify and paste any material (beads, seeds, glitter, rice, cereals etc.) in the given strokes

 

Subject: Art

Activities done this week: Students did roll printing, scribbling and paper tearing activity in the given objects.

 

Upcoming activities: Pasting of parts of face in thermocol plate

Activities done this week : Students recited several rhymes.

PORTFOLIO: Please decorate the portfolio beautifully, label it and cover with plastic sheet and send it on Tuesday I.e. 30 -7 -2019.

 

TABLE ETTIQUETES :

 

Next week we  will be focusing on hygiene and table manners (good & bad habits) to explain to students that good table manners are a way of showing respect and consideration for themselves and others. We request you to send a napkin, spoon and fork (plastic) and fresh fruit juice with straw along with the tiffin, and water bottle without fail from Monday 29 July 2019 onwards.

 

NOTE: Please help the child to instill these table manners at home as well.
