Subject: Learner Profile            

Activities done this week: The learner Profile attribute which was focussed this week was “Inquirer

and communicator”. 

 

  • Being an inquirer helps the child to develop curiosity. They acquire the skills necessary to conduct inquiry and research and show independence in learning. They actively enjoy learning and this love of learning will be sustained throughout their lives.

 

  • Being a communicator students express themselves confidently and creatively in more than one language and in many ways. They collaborate effectively, listen carefully to the perspectives of other individuals and groups.”

 

 

 

CIRCLE TIME: Students greeted their peers with “hello” during circle time. They shared their thoughts about what they did at home. They enjoyed reciting rhymes and played with the manipulatives like “pink tower, coloured cylindrical blocks and more.

Subject: Unit Of Inquiry

THEME:

TOPIC: LEARN EVERY DAY ABOUT SEASONS

Activities done this week:Students were able to communicate their views on rainy and summer season.

  • Students were able to understand day and night by watching video.
  • They were able to list out the things /activities we do during the day time and during night time.
  • Students learnt new season “Winter Season”. Students inquired on the things we use in winter season.

        Upcoming activities/ HW: Worksheet given

     Kindly discuss with your child about the seasons at home also.

Subject: Math

    • Activities done this week: Students recapitulated numbers 1-5 with their values.
    • They learnt new pre mathematical concept “day-night”
  • Students recapitulated shapes and learnt new shape “rectangle”
  • These activities helped the students develop cognitive and pre math skills.

Upcoming activities:

  •     Pre mathematical concept hot-cold” will be introduced.

    HOMEWORK: Worksheet given

Activities done this week: Students recited rhymes and enjoyed listening to stories through their imaginations.

  • Students recapitulated letters with their related objects.
  • They learnt new letter “d” with its related objects.
  • These activities helped the students develop cognitive and language skills.

  •  Letter “d” will be focussed with its related objects.
  • Letter “e” will be introduced.
