Activities done this week: The learner profile attribute that was explained this week based on their ongoing topic ‘Energy’ was Knowledgeable. Students developed and used conceptual understanding and explored knowledge across a range of disciplines. Students engaged with issues and ideas that have local and global significance.

Activities done this week: 

TRANSDISCIPLINARY THEME – How the world works. 

Central idea:  Energy is derived from a range of resources and used in various ways.

 

Lines of inquiry: 

  • Forms of energy and resources.
  • Transformation of energy.
  • Various uses of energy.

 

Activities done this week: 

  • Students were introduced to the second line of Inquiry. They understood the law of conservation of energy.
  • Students watched videos on various energy transformations.
  • Students played a quiz based on transformation of energy.
  • Students showed how energy is transformed in various devices.

 

Upcoming activities/ HW: Complete the given worksheet. Make a model of any one form of energy showing one or more transformations.

 

Subject: Math

Activities done this week: 

  • Students solved word problems questions by comprehending it well.
  • Word problems on both addition and subtraction were made to practice.
  • Students did a practice on activity of finding ‘ Part part Total’.
  • Students were also challenged with addition and subtraction problems with missing addends.

Activities done this week:  

Speaking:

  • Various activities were done to strengthen speaking skills in students. Students discussed their understanding of the unit energy and shared it with the class.

 

Grammar:

  • Suffixes were introduced and taught in detail. Students came up with examples for each type of suffix.

 

Writing: 

  • Instructional writing was recapitulated. Students also wrote a journal entry based on the ongoing unit. They were asked to add detail to their writing to make it more meaningful.

 

Reading: 

  • Author study was done. 
  • Students read levelled books during Guided Reading. 
  • OBS cards were done based on student’s reading levels.

 

Upcoming activities/ HW: Complete the given picture comprehension. 

                                                           

Subject: Hindi

Activities done this week:

Students watched the story and completed the task given.

Students practiced the varnamala, vattulu,gunintapu gurtulu and gunintalu.

Activities done this week: Students learnt to edit  and created a poster on there ongoing topic Energy.

Subject: P.E-

Activities done this week:Students did basic warm up, followed by throw ball play.

 

Subject: Library

Activities done this week:Students were categorized in groups for drama presentation selected the stories written the dialogues.Followed by the discussion.

The school will remain closed from Mon 9th Sep to Thurs 12 Sep on account of 9th Moharram, Ashoora and Ganesh Visarjan respectively. Friday 13 Sep and Sat 14 Sep will be a working day. Wednesday’s Time-Table will be followed on Saturday.
