Subject: Learner Profile            

Activities done this week: The learner profile which was followed this week in connection to our ongoing unit ‘Identity’ was Inquirer. Students developed their natural curiosity. They acquired the skills necessary to conduct inquiry and research and showed independent learning. They actively enjoy learning and this love of learning will be sustained throughout their lives.


Upcoming activities / HW: The learner profile attribute that will be explained next week based on our ongoing unit ‘Identity’ will be Knowledgeable. Students will develop and use conceptual understanding and explore knowledge across a range of disciplines. Students will engage with issues and ideas that have local and global significance.  


Subject: Unit Of Inquiry


Topic: Identity 

Central idea:  A person’s behaviour & how they choose to present themselves project aspects of their identity

Lines of inquiry: 

  • How appearance & behaviour influence our perception of others.
  • The influence of cultural & Social norms on how we choose to present ourselves
  • Fashion as a form of expression


Activities done this week: 

  •   Students designed a logo and motto for the PYPX
  • Students had a JAM Session to talk about themselves,their culture, traditions, likes, dislikes,beliefs,hobbies etc.
  • Students were given a template of an iceberg where they entered their identities which are seldom evident to people around them.
  • Students did an activity on “How does Gender influence Who I am?’”
  • Students did a circle of viewpoint activity in identifying themselves from various perspectives – friends, family, society and themselves.

Upcoming activities / HW:

Formative Assessment for LOI-1 will be conducted on Monday. Inquire about your chosen SDG and come prepared with ‘tuning in’ activities.

Subject: Math

Activities done this week: 

  • Students were taught construction of angles.
  • Students practiced constructing angles. 
  • Students discussed for the upcoming Math Evening.

Subject: English

Activities done this week:    


  • Various activities were done to strengthen speaking skills in students. Students learnt new words from the dictionary and tried framing sentences.


  • Students wrote a journal entry based on the ongoing unit. They were asked to add detail to their writing to make it more meaningful.   
  • Spell test in vocabulary words conducted


Grammar: Conjunctions were taught in detail. Students came up with examples to show their understanding.


  • Novel study was done. 
  • Students read levelled books during Guided Reading.  


Upcoming activities/ HW: Frame sentences using coordinating conjunctions. (For, And, Nor, But, Or, Yet, So)

Learn the spellings given in Spell drill book for spell test on Monday.

 कहानी मे वाचन करवाया गया  | उसके पश्चात छात्रों को श्रुतलेख दिया गया |

संज्ञा ,सर्वनाम और  विशेषण मे पुनर्कथन करवाया गया | कहानी मे से देखकर लिखा गया |

कहानी को दिखाकर शिक्षार्थी  प्रालेख से सम्बन्धित वार्तालाप  सहित चित्र लेखन करवाया गया |

Activities done this week:

Students read and wrote the vattu words and sentences. [జ్జ నుండి డ్డ వరకు].

Students wrote dictation in గ్గ vattu words and sentences.

Students read and write compound words of given letters.

Activities done this week : Art: Students are doing Mosic art with paints in their drawing books.


Subject: ICT

Activities done this week: Students learnt to sign up to Twitter written the steps in their note books and started signing up using email Id.

Dear Parents,

As agreed upon by the Student Council Members, students will face the following consequences on violation of school rules.


Actions Consequences
Washrooms (playing with water, throwing water on each other)  Clean tables in classroom during the PE period
English (English is being spoken at all times, even during the break) Students will be sent to a lower class & take a mini lesson on speaking English
Stairs/Corridors (see that no one pushes the other) Clean up the class with a broom during the PE period.
Soft boards (will not touch the soft boards and spoil the work) Students will miss out on 2 P.E classes.
No hitting/No pushing Clean up the corridor with a broom during PE period.
