Sorting out:

  1. Students recollected their understanding of LOI-2 and completed their assessment. 
  2. Students were introduced to LOI-3(Ways in which we can nurture leadership qualities in ourselves-Responsibility) and identified the personality traits a leader should possess(discussed and listed in the form of a mindmap ), after they watched a video.
  3. Students found the meaning of the given words from LOI-3
  4. Students listened to the song Leader in me.

Subject: Math

Activities done this week: 

  • .Students were able to define the meaning of rounding of numbers by giving example.
  • Students were able to understand the topic by the poem of Rounding numbers.
  • Students were able to round the numbers to the nearest 10’s, 100’s and 1000’s.

Activities done this week:  


  1. Students read the level -2 task cards and answered the questions.
  2. Sight words and vocabulary words recap was done and students wrote dictation.
  3. Students were introduced to the writing process and each step was explained and discussed and students were made to  write steps and points.
  4. Students made the graphic organiser for their role model.

Listening and SPEAKING:- 

  1. Students  read a passage from the story book  in front of the class.

Activities done this week: Teacher read the story to the students followed by the activity 5 fingers retelling. In which students understand the story’s Character,Setting,Problem,Events and solution on 5 fingers.

Dear Parent,                                                                                                                                                       

Focus School recognizes and values parents and families as children’s first teachers and decision-makers in education. We believe that student learning is more likely to occur when there is an effective partnership between the school and the student’s parents and family.

In order to build this bond we have organized parent orientation on Sat 20 July 2019. This will be a 2 hours session and will include strategies and tips on parental involvement and interactive session on inquiry in Unit, Math and English.

Orientation schedule will be as follows:

PP2& C1: 9:30 – 11:30 am

C2 & C3: 11:30 noon – 1:30 pm

C4 & C5: 1:30 – 3:30 pm


Your attendance is important and will be marked for, so please ensure that you are present on the scheduled time. Kindly refrain from getting children.
