Activities done this week:

The LEARNER PROFILE ATTRIBUTE that was explained this week for their unit Natural Hazards was being an INQUIRER & THINKER. It was great to see the children being inquirers putting on their thinking caps by identifying the different forms of natural disasters, inquiring about it, getting their pictures, imagining and drawing what it looks like.

Subject: Unit Of Inquiry

THEME:   How We Organize Ourselves

UNIT:-  Natural Hazards

CENTRAL IDEA:-  Human beings have devised ways to prepare for and cope with hazards.


          1.The different natural disasters.

         2. The impact of hazards on the environment.

3. Ways in which people cope with hazards.


       Sorting out:


  •    Students sorted out the pictures, names and definition of hazards and pasted on A4 size paper accordingly.


      Going further:


  •  Students wrote the differences and similarities between earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.


  • Students wrote the assessment on LOI-1.They wrote the similarities and differences of two disasters of their choice using venn diagram.

    Making connections:


  • Students were  introduced to LOI-2{ The impact of hazards on environment}
  • Students continued to learn the causes and effect of each disaster separately. 


  •   Students wrote the causes and effects of each natural disaster .

    Upcoming activities/ HW:

  1. Task sheet given.
  2. Prepare the posters allotted for symbols of disasters

Subject: Math

Activities done this week: 


  • Students solved word problems questions by comprehending it well.
  • Word problems on both addition and subtraction were made to practice.
  • Students did a practice on activity of finding ‘ Part part Total’.
  • Students were also challenged with addition and subtraction problems with missing addends.

  • Practice worksheet given for homework.

Activities done this week:  


  1. Sight words and vocabulary words recap was done .
  2. Students wrote the vocabulary words related to unit.

Listening and SPEAKING:

  1. The teacher read out the books(Global Warming, Volcanoes,How Hurricanes happen) from the library on different forms of Natural Hazards(circle time activity).


  1. Students wrote the assessment on verbs and verb tenses.
  2. Students were introduced to adjectives .

पुनर्कथन करवाया गया , उसके पश्चात कक्षा मे  पशु से सम्बन्धित जानकारी पर विचार विनिमय किया गया  |छात्रों को पशु के खिलोने दिए गए ,उससे सम्बन्धित जैसे की _ शेर ,बाघ ,गाय  और ऊँट इत्यादी उपविषय पर वाक्य लेखन करवाया गया |

इ की मात्रा मे श्रुतलेख दिया गया  ,उसके पश्चात पर्यायवाची शब्द से अवगत करवाया गया  , पर्यायवाची शब्द पढाए और लिखाए गए |

Activities done this week: Students were categorized in groups for drama presentation selected the stories written the dialogues.Followed by the discussion.
