Activities done this week          

The LEARNER PROFILE ATTRIBUTES that was explained this week for the for their  topic Media was being REFLECTIVE & BALANCED.  As we are concluding the topic, it was great to see the children reflecting the impact of Media in their lives and how they could find ways to make media most effective, they brainstormed and communicated to share their ideas to the class and also answer the questions prompted to them.

The LEARNER PROFILE ATTRIBUTES that we will emphasize next week as well will be REFLECTIVE & BALANCED. You can motivate your child to get in touch with other people in the World or some relatives or friends via writing letters, emails or telephones.This attribute will help them to shed their shyness, become critical thinkers and share their ideas.

Subject: Unit Of Inquiry

THEME:-  How We Express Ourselves

UNIT:-  Media

CENTRAL IDEA:-  The media informs, influences and reflects the values and opinions of its audience.

LINES OF INQUIRY:-  

      • The different kinds of media and their roles

 

  • The impact of media in our lives .
  •  Ways to make media effective.

 

LEARNING ENGAGEMENTS:

Making Connections:-

  1. After the students did a mock debate on the topic “Usage of Internet.” Also they will learn the rules for debate. Then had the final round on Monday.
  2. Students were introduced to their line of inquiry-3 to discuss on how to make media effective.
  3. Students recalled all the activities done during the unit and identify the most enjoyable and the most difficult part of the unit through reflection sheet.

 

    Upcoming activities/ HW:

  1. Inquiry work given.
  2. Summative Assessment will be held on Wednesday, please prepare your child well.
  3. Work in the notebook sent. 

          

Subject: Math

Activities done this week: 

Number system ( Division)

  1. Students were introduced to division topic by a hands on activity were in students were made to analyze division with remainder by using the manipulatives.
  2. Students also learned division through multiples of 10.
  3. Students learned division by Big 7 strategy and traditional method.

  1. Division practice problems given in C.W.

 

Subject: English

Activities done this week:  

READING & WRITING:-  

  1. 1. Task Card: Students read texts at an appropriate level, independently, confidently and with good understanding and comprehend what they read(OBS-Task cards activity) to strengthen & enhance their linguistic skills and did the follow up activity, according to their levels                               
  2.  2.   Novel Study-“Charlotte’s Web”: Following the identification of novel title, author and illustrator, they continued with their reading Chapter 1 and identify the theme, setting, characters.
  3. Students started with the elements of Persuasive writing. 

LISTENING & SPEAKING:

 

  • The teacher read out the book from the library on different kinds of Media(circle time activity).

 

SPELL DRILL:-

 

  • Sight words and topic vocabulary activity(quiz(spell drill) & broken word activity)as well.   

 

GRAMMAR:- .

  1. Students completed an assessment on pronouns.

  1. Practice work for pronouns sent.
  2. Learn vocab words sent for activities.

 

Subject: Urdu

Activities done this week: تمام بچوں کو دو حرفی ملے ہوئے اور بنا ملے ہوئے الفاظ کو جملوں میں استعمال کرنا سکھایا گیا ۔ تاکہ وہ انہیں آسانی سے لکھنے اور پڑھنے آجائے ۔ 

پرتھم بک کی ایک کہانی پڑھائی گئی تاکہ ان میں ریڈنگ کا شوق پیدا ہو۔ اور وہ لائبریری میں موجود کہانی کی کتابیں پڑھ سکیں ۔ اس سے ان میں تقریری صلاحیت مزید ہوگی ۔ 

اسکول میں انٹر ہاوس ” نعتیہ مقابلہ منعقد ہوا جس میں بہت سے بچوں نے حصہ لیا اور نعت پڑھی ۔ اور اپنے ہاوس کو جیتانے کی کوشش کیا البتہ ” انٹیگریٹی ہاوس ” کے حق میں امتیازی انعام آیا ۔ 

 

Upcoming activities/ HW: سبھی بچوں کی ڈائری میں ہوم ورک کے متعلق معلومات موجود ہے ۔ برائے “ املا” جملوں میں 

 

Subject:Hindi

Activities done this week: 

कक्षा मे पुनर्कथन  करवाया गया |पत्र लेखन को स्पष्टीकरण द्वारा समझा कर पढ़ाया और लिखाया गया | 

समाचार पत्र को पढने के लिए  कक्षा मे दिया गया | उसमे से  जो पढ़ा गया उसे सार के रूप मे लिखा गया |  

पुनर्कथन करवाया गया | चित्र को देखकर उससे सम्बंधित कार्य करवाया गया  | जैसे चित्र मे क्या दिखाई दे रहा है ?

    Subject: Telugu

Activities done this week

Students read and write colours names in Telugu.

Students completed the guninthalu sheet and practiced Varnamala, signs of Hallulu.

Students read and write two and three letter words.

Subject: Art :

Activities done this week:  For Art: The students started the free hand drawing for the painting.

For Craft: The students started making the flower with a form sheet. 

 

Subject: ICT

Activities done this week:  Students done with biteable.com assessment and completed editing a  video on their own.

 

Subject: PE: 

Activities done this week:  Sports day practice ( students practicing for march past ) followed by dynamic stretching,fun game & cooling down exercises to develop their flexibility.
