Activities done this week

The learner profile attributes focussed upon this week were “Thinker” and “Open-minded” as the children participated in activities like tug of war in which they used their thinking skills to answer given questions and being open-minded they accepted other students perspectives. 

Upcoming activities / HW:  Parents can tell with real examples from the environment that there can be different solutions to a problem so one is required to be an open-minded person.

Finding Out

This week the students 

  • recognised their rights, responsibilities in different communities (in home, at school, in market, with friends) in groups

Group Work

  • brainstormed and defined rights, responsibilities, rules and community 
  • did a tug of war to understand whether the given statement is for or against related to rights and responsibilities
  • watched video on child labour, child marriages, infacticides, child abuse and recognized risk and challenges faced by children https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tf0oTaWNe6A

Making Connection

  • Students related a given scenario to right or responsibility and completed the bingo activity

  • Students recalled fractions and were introduced to types of fractions.
  • Students identified like and unlike fractions.
  • Students also learned and identified proper and improper fractions.

Activities done this week:  

Reading and Writing

This week the students 

  • demonstrated their knowledge of conjunctions during formative assessment 
  • did their spell drill 
  • pasted parts of letter in the correct sequence as group work 
  • wrote a sample formal letter in their notebooks
  • wrote what they learnt throughout the week in their journals

Guided Reading 

  • Students started reading a new story at an appropriate level,independently,confidently and with good understanding and will find out meanings and also practice related grammar and write in their guided reading notebook.

Activities done this week:

تین حرف کو جوڑ کر الفاظ کیسے بنتے ہیں بتایا گیا ۔ ” اگر تین حرف ملے ہوں تو پہلے دو حرف آدھے لکھے جاتے ہیں اور آخری حرف پورا لکھا جاتا ہے۔ 

اسم کی تعریف کیا ہے ؟   بتایا گیا اور اس کے ضمن میں آنے والی چیزوں کی تصاویر جمع کی گئی تھیں 

واحد اور جمع کی تعریف پڑھائی گئی اور اس کے بنانے کے تمام قاعدے بتائی گئے ۔

واحد سے جمع میں تبدیل کرنے کا قاعدہ یاد کریں اور دیئے گئے الفاظ کو ” جمع ” میں تبدیل کریں

Students read and write colours names in Telugu.

Students practiced varnamala, signs of achulu and hallulu.

Students wrote a writing Assessment in varnamala, signs of achulu and hallulu.

Activities done this week: Students learnt to save and insert pictures on a word document by browsing the pictures from google chrome related to their topic rights and responsibilities.

Activities done this week: Integration of the unit “rights & responsibilities” through the concept of “responsibility” by making C3 students the mentors of C1 students. Student mentors of C3 trained C1 students assigned to them. Students trained them on throw ball, long jump, football etc skill
