Activities done this week: This week the learner profile attribute focused upon was “communicator” as students brainstormed on ideas pertaining to the third line of inquiry. 

Upcoming activities / HW: The learner profile attribute to be focused next week is “reflective” as students appear in assessments and “knowledgeable” as students will gain new information about changes occurring in nature due to human interaction and natural disasters.


Subject: Unit Of Inquiry

Theme: Where we are in place and time

Central Idea: The Earth’s physical geography has an impact on human interactions and settlements

Lines of Inquiry: 

  1. Variability of physical features around the world – form 
  2. The relationship between location and settlement- connection   
  3. Impact of human interaction on the physical environment – causation

This week the students

  • brainstormed on the importance of latitude and longitude

Making Connection

  • identified impact of human interaction on the environment through headlines activity (watched videos and created a headline to show cause and effect of human activities eg oil spill, wars, deforestation etc)

Upcoming activities/ HW: Formative Assessment 2 on Monday (16-02-19) and Formative Assessment 3 on Thursday (19-09-19)


Subject: Math

Activities done this week: 

  • Students solved word problems based on subtraction.
  • Students practiced subtraction problems and learned to check the answers.

Upcoming activities/ HW: Homework is given in the notebook


Subject: English

Activities done this week:  


Students read and wrote sentences and chose the correct options depending upon the use of “can, could, may, might, should, would” in the sentence.


Students did journal writing about their learning this week.

Upcoming activities/ HW: Check and complete grammar and literature, spell drill books

पुनर्कथन करवाया गया  ,चार अक्षर वाले शब्दों को अव्यवस्थित कर व्यवस्थित रूप से  गतिविधि द्वारा पढ़ाया और लिखाया गया |

आकलन के लिए कक्षा मे पुन;अवलोकन करवाया गया , उसके  उपरांत आकलन लिया गया |
