Subject: Learner Profile            

Activities done this week:  This week students displayed learner profile qualities of “Inquirer”. They were curious to find out art is vast and unique as they got to learn about the different artist styles. They learnt about fauvism, cubism and painting on a panel.

 

Upcoming activities / HW: Next week the students will be reflecting on their work by assessing themselves for FA and SA

Activities done this week: 

  • Students this week explored the third line of inquiry “ How arts is unique and personal”. Students explored about three world famous artists:

    Henry Matisse

    Pablo Picasso

    M.F. Hussain

  •  Students made Henri Matisse art, and watched the following videos to acquire knowledge about the three artist – Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso and M.F.Hussain

  • Students took down the Biography of all three artists. They were able to draw out the similarities and differences between the three artists. Henri Matisse introduced the world to a new type of art called “Fauvism” meaning Wild beast which consisted of paper cuts and shaped.  Pablo Picasso gave world the concept of “Cubism” where in he made portraits of people through shapes and different figures. M.F.Hussain did not follow any particular style of painting. He rather painted Indian themes, historic figures and religious paintings.
  • Students discussed their findings and shared their knowledge about the three artists with each other. They recapitulated what all they have learnt for the week to prepare for the coming FA3 and SA

 

Upcoming activities/ HW: 

 Students will prepare for upcoming FA3 and SA3. They will prepare for LOI -3 How arts is unique and personal for FA3 and SA

 

Subject: Math

Activities done this week: 

  • Students recapitulated addition and discussed application of addition in daily life. 
  • Students solved problems based on addition without carry.
  • Students enhanced their thinking ability by playing addition quiz.

Subject: English

Activities done this week:  

Grammar:

  • Students this week learnt about the singular and plural nouns. They also learnt about the usage of “is” and “are”, “that” and “those”, “this” and “these”. They were taught how to use the singular and plural nouns in sentences.
  • Students learnt about the usage of “has” and “have”
  • Students assessed themselves in their understanding of singular and plural nouns through formative assessment -3

Literature & Spell drill:

  • Students were grouped according to their levels and took down the spell drill words. They read the words and wrote it down. They practiced spellings for spell drill from “Let’s Read”

 

Reading & Writing:

  • Students used the task cards to do the reading. They read the given text and wrote the exercise in the notebook. They noted the Title, Level and exercise. Each and every student read the task card and solved the exercise

                  Students will do a reading comprehension as HW.

  • دو حرفی ملے ہوئے الفاظ ۔ دو رنگ کے قلم سے بورڈ پر لکھا گیا پھر اس کی بلند خوانی  کی گئی ۔ جس طالبہ نے سب سے اچھا لکھا وہ ” نساء ” ہیں جو تصویر میں دکھائی دے رہی ہیں

Upcoming activities/ HW: Students started working on creating a powerpoint presentation on there ongoing topic Arts.

 

Subject: P.E-

Activities done this week:students did basic warm up, followed by dynamic stretching.

Students performed fun activity in groups which helps them to develop their agility and body balance.

 

Subject: Library

Activities done this week: Students listened to the story from the teacher through musical instruments, body language with follow up by the activity 3- panels story book, in which students described the story in 3 panels Beginning, Middle and End with the help of drawings or text.
