The LEARNER PROFILE ATTRIBUTES that we emphasized this week for their topic Adaptation was INQUIRER  as the children learnt about  habitats, Ecosystem and biomes & THINKER as they put on their thinking caps to understand the connection between biomes,habitats and ecosystems.

Subject: Unit Of Inquiry:

Theme: Sharing the planet

Title: Adaptation

Central Idea: Overtime living things need to adapt in order to survive.

Lines of Inquiry: 

  • Characteristics of the major habitat/biomes
  • Physical adaptations and behavioral adaptations that allow an animal to survive in their biome
  • Connection between animals and the people in those habitats

Activities done this week: 

  • Students discussed the HW worksheet and wrote about the characteristics of biomes/Habitat.
  •  Students  did a scavenger hunt activity wherein they posted questions and found the answers by asking other students.
  • Students assessed themselves  for FA making a brochure of habitat/biomes.
  •  Students sorted the animals according to Carnivores, Herbivores and Omnivores and classified them along with the definitions

Activities done this week: 

  • Students wrote an assessment on tables and practiced word problems.
  • Students learned when to use amount and cost and solve word problems based on multiplication using money,weight and capacity.
  • Students practiced multiplication word problems which included money , weight , capacity and length. 
  • Students were divided into groups according to the strands for their upcoming math exhibition and discussed about the topics they selected.

Activities done this week:  

Guided Reading:

 

Students read story at an appropriate level, independently, confidently and with good understanding and found out meanings and also practiced related grammar and wrote in their guided reading notebook.

Grammar:

  • Students discussed HW worksheet.
  • Students were introduced to synonyms through activity”Find my pair”
  • Students learnt and understood synonyms and wrote definition in their notebook.
  • Students practiced synonyms and identified it in sentences through task sheet.

Next week students will be introduced to report writing.

Activities done this week: 

تحریری کام :  دہ حرفی الفاظ کو ملا کر لکھنا سکھایا گیا لفظوں میں اور جملوں میں ۔ اس کے علاوہ بچوں نے ” میرا گھر ” کہانی کو ” نقل ” کیا ۱۵ میں کا وقت دیتے ہوئے ۱۰ جملے لکھنے کی طلباء نے کوشش کیا اکثر بچوں نے کام نامکمل لیکن خوبصورت کیا ۔ کچھ بچوں نے کام وقت پر مکمل کیا اور خوبصورت تحریر سے بھی کیا ۔  

تقریری کام : طلباء نے ” میرا گھر ” کہانی کے جملوں کو انفرادی طور پر پڑھنے کی اچھی اور کامیاب کوشش کیا ۔ کہانی ۱۵ جملوں پر مشتمل تھی اور سبھی بچوں نے اسے پڑھنے کی کوشش کیا اکثر بچوں نے دوسرے بچوں کو سن کر جملوں کو پڑھا ۔ کچھ طلباء نے پورے یقین کے ساتھ از خود پوری کہانی پڑھا۔

ई की मात्रा मे पुनर्कथन करवाया गया  | ई की मात्रा से सम्बंधित कविता को पढ़ाया और लिखाया गया | कविता से सम्बंधित प्रश्नोतर  लिखाए और पढाए गए |

 आ से ई की मात्रा मे पुनर्कथन करवाया गया  | कहानी को कक्षा मे प्रथम कक्षा मे अध्यापिका द्वारा पढ़ा गया  ,उसके उपरांत छात्रों ने समूहिक रूप से पढ़ा फिर उसके पश्चात छात्र  व्यक्तिगत रूप से पढे| |

आ से ई की मात्रा मे पुनर्कथन करवाया गया  | दिए गए अक्षरों से शब्द बनाना | जैसे का – काल ,ति_ तितली | और दी गई कहानी मे से आ इ और ई की मात्रा के शब्द  छांटकर लिखे गए |

The learner profile attribute which we will focus next week is knowledgeable. Students who are KNOWLEDGEABLE have explored relevant and significant concepts and can remember what they have learned. They can draw on this knowledge and apply it in new situations.

  • Students revised unit definitions through “question game” by discussing and recording their response.
  • Students differentiated between Biome, Habitat and Ecosystem through flowchart.
  • Students described the habitat/biomes through shared reading
  • Students completed the 4D triorama with the information (location, temperature, animals, plants) of a biome
  • Students presented and shared the information about the biomes with the class.

Reading:

  • Students read story at an appropriate level, independently, confidently and with good understanding and found out meanings and also practiced related grammar and wrote in their guided reading notebook.

Writing:

  • Students learnt about the Adverb of manner and Adverb of time.
  • Students wrote and read comprehension passage and identified verbs and added adverbs to it
  • Students played a “dumb charade” of verbs and adverbs and framed sentences of it
  • Students learnt how to frame correct sentences

Activities done this week:  دو حرفی الفاظ اور ان سے بننے والے جملوں کو لکھنا سکھایا گیا اور پڑھنا سکھایا گیا ۔ “ یوم اردو “ کے لئے نظمیں لکھوائی گئی جو بچہ ایک منٹ میں چار رباعی پڑھے گا اس کی مدد کرنا اور اسے مقابلہ تاک پہنچانا ہے ۔ انشاء اللہ ۱۹ دسمبر کو “ انٹر اسکول مقابلہ “ ہے جس کی تیاری کی جاری ہے۔ سبھی طلباء “ تحریری مقابلہ “ کے لئے کمرہ جماعت میں دس منٹ میں ایک کہانی خوبصورت تحریر سے لکھنے کی کوشش کر رہے ہیں ۔   

 

Upcoming activities/ HW:   ہر روز کوئی ایک کہانی مختصر سی لکھوائیں تاکہ “ تحریری مقابلہ “دیا گیا صفحہ دیکھ کر خوبصورت لکھ سکیں ۔ گھر پر روزانہ “ نقل “ لکھنے کی مشق کرائیں تاکہ آپ کا مقابلہ میں شرکت کر سکیں ۔
