Activities done this week: The learner profile which is focused this week is ‘knowledgeable’ as students learn about different means of transport and modes of transport and observed the demonstration on fire safety,

Upcoming activities / HW: Encourage your child to read books and read stories that inculcate moral values. Guiding your child to play educational games online will help them learn as they enjoy and also make them used to technology.

Theme: How we organize ourselves

Topic: Transportation

Central Idea: Development of means of transport changed the ability of  humans to move about

 Lines of Inquiry:

  • means of transportation( on land, in the air, in water)
  • Importance of transportation in our life 
  •  development of the forms of transportation means through time 

Activities done this week: 

Finding out

  1. Children observed the vehicles moving on the road and noted down in their notebook.
  2. Features of different means of transport were discovered through See, Think and Wonder activity after observing the toys on “inquiry table”
  3. Students carried out shared reading in groups and shared their learning with the class.
  4. Students watched a video on the invention of the wheel and identified reasons why the wheel was important.
  5. Students learn about safety rules through fire demonstration

Upcoming activities/ HW: Help your child to complete the homework and bring pictures of means of transport on Monday.

Activities done this week: 

  1. Bar graphs were created based upon the data collected on “how do you come to school” 
  2. Students carried out backward counting while calling out the roll numbers.
  3. Students recall and learn the concept of backward counting through different activities.
  4. write the backward counting from 30-0 in their notebook.
  5. students illustrated the operation of subtraction with answers of 10 or less by using ice cream sticks.
  6. Children used number cards to subtract given problem and come up with answers
  7. Draw number line in their notebook and carry out subtraction
  8. solved subtraction sums through number line in their notebook.

Activities done  this week:  

 Reading and writing

  1.  Read and comprehend the given passage, identified prepositions and pronouns in magic pot.
  2.  Write the sight words in spell drill.

Listening and speaking 

Students listened to the story in the read-aloud and identified the need for pronouns through the story “lion and rabbit” which had repeated use of the noun. 


  1. Students played a game using flashcards with a pronoun and pointed towards the noun which could be replaced with the pronoun card they got.
  2. Definition and examples of pronoun written in a notebook.
  3. Students made sentences using pronouns. 
  4. rewrite the sentences using pronouns in place of a noun
  5. underline the pronoun in the given sentence

Activities done this week: دو حرفی الفاظ کے انگریزی میں معنٰی لکھیے گئے اور نظم درختوں سے محبت کو پڑھاگیا اس کے علاوہ بے جوڑ اور جوڑے ہوئے دو حرفی الفاظ کو پہچان کر ان میں رنگوں کا استعمال کیا گیا۔ 

Upcoming activities/ HW:  نظم درختوں سے محبت نظم کو زبانی یاد کرئیے اوردئیے گئے الفاظ کو کے معنٰی لکھئیے اور ان کو زبانی یاد کرئیے۔
