Central idea: Awareness of our characteristics, abilities and interests informs our learning and development.
Lines of inquiry:
  • Physical,social and emotional characteristics.
  • Similarities and differences between ourselves and others.
  • Effects of enviornment on personality.

 

Activities done this week: 

Students brainstorm the unit vocabulary in the notebook.

Tunning In: Students interpret their emotional characteristics by identifying different emotions, prepared an emotion of self they experienced at that moment and pasted it on the chart paper.

Finding Out: Students played a game of “2 Truth and 1 Lie”game to determine whether the statement is true or wrong.

Students watched the video of “I LIKE MYSELF” to get a better understanding of self.

Subject: Math

Activities done this week: 

  • Students differentiated place value by using colours of the given digit.
  • Students recognise and wrote numbers from 401-500 in their notebook.
  • Students acknowledged the meaning of “Non Standard Unit of Measurement” ie: Cubit [they measure the height], Hand Span[they measured the length of the table  and Foot Span[they measure the length of the classroom]
  • Students measured their height and their friends height by using chairs and blocks.

Upcoming activities/ HW: Complete the given” Foot Span”  worksheet.

 

Subject: English

Activities done this week:  

  • Students recapitualated  previous “l” blends
  • Students thought of the new words related to “r”blends by observing the surrounding objects and discussed in the class.
  • Students were completed the “r” blend worksheet by cutting and pasting blends to the appropriate given object.
  • Students retrieved the sight words through spell drill. 
  • Students were made new words of “r” blend and noted down in their notebook.
  • Students read and wrote the phrases in their notebook.

Upcoming activities/ HW: Complete the worksheet of “r” blends given. 

 

Subject: Urdu

Activities done this week: اُردو  کے ہندسے ایک سے لیکر بیس تک پڑھتے ہوئے لکھگ گیا اور کلاس میں موجد اشیاء کے ذریعے ایک سے بیس تک گنتی کی گئی۔

اعراب زبر , زیر اور پیش کا اعادہ ان کی آوازوں کو پڑھتے ہوئے کیا گیا اور حروف تہجی کے حروف الف سے ض تک کے حروف پر اعراب زبر کو لگا کر پڑھتے ہوئے لکھنا سکھا۔
