Activities done this week:  

The learner profiles focused this week were “Principled” and “Communicator”, as the students participated in a range of pairing activities.  

Upcoming activities / HW: The Learner Profiles which will be focused next week will be Open Minded and Thinker as they’ll indulge into finding out similarities and differences between self and others and accept others point of view.

Central Idea: Awareness of our characteristics,  abilities and interests informs our learning and development.

Line of inquiry: 1 Physical, social and emotional characteristics.

Activities done this week:     

Formative Assessment:

 Students completed the assessment on the first line of inquiry through a presentation.

 Finding Out :

Students shared their expressions in a given situation by completing the worksheet.

Students interviewed their friends and completed the given questionnaire.  

Students find out Similarities and differences between twins by reading a storybook “JUST LIKE ME” through shared reading activity.

Sorting Out:-

 Students discussed similarities and differences between themselves and their friends during circle time and sorted the same on a Venn diagram.

 Upcoming activities/ HW: Complete the given worksheet of Venn Diagram.

Subject: Math

Activities done this week: 

  • MeasurementStudents define non-standard unit [“Hand Span”, ”Foot Span” and “Cubit”] in their notebook.
  • Measured the height and length of the table and chair  in a non-standard unit (hands span and cubit)
  • Measured their friends’ height in the non-standard unit (using satin ribbon)  and pasted on the wall.
  • Measured the size of the foot by colouring the outline of their foot. (from the heel to the tip of the toe)

 Formative Assessment:

Students demonstrated  their understanding about place value and 2D shapes in F.A

Subject: English

Activities done this week:

Grammar

  • Students were familiarized with the concept of “adjective” by describing their body parts (eyes, the colour of hair, height, colour) 

Listening and  speaking:

  • Students listen to the story and recognised the adjectives.

Reading and writing:

  • Students described the given noun with an adjective in a group activity.
  • Define and list out the adjective in a notebook. 
  • Circle the adjectives in sentences in their notebook.
  • Played word association game to strengthen the knowledge of adjectives. 
  • Students did spell drill and wrote new sight words in their notebook.

Activities done this week:   حروف تہجی کو اعراب زبراور پیش کے ساتھ پڑھنا

اور لکھنا سکھا اس کے علاوہ اُردو کی نظموں کو دبارہ پڑھا گیا۔

Upcoming activities/ HW: حروف تہجی کو الف سے ے تک اعراب زیر کے ساتھ لکھئیے۔   طلبہ نے حروف تہجی کی شناخت لوڈو کھیل کے ذریعے کی۔
