Activities done this week: The learner profiles focused this week were Principled”and “Communicator”, as the students participated in a range of pairing activities.  

Upcoming activities / HW: The Learner Profiles which will be focused next week will be Open Minded and Thinker as they’ll indulge into finding out similiraties and differences between self and others and accept others point of view.

Title: All About Me   
Central idea: Awareness of our characteristics, abilities and interests informs our learning and development.
Lines of inquiry:
  • Physical, social and emotional characteristics.
  • Similarities and differences between ourselves and others.
  • Effects of environment on personality.

 

Activities done this week:               

                                         Finding Out:

  • Students shared their expressions by completing the emotion worksheet in different situations. 
  • Students interviewed their friends and completed the given questionnaire.  
  • Formative Assessment: Students demonstrated their knowledge on the first line of inquiry through a presentation.
  • Students figured out similarities and differences between twins by reading a storybook “JUST LIKE ME” through shared reading activity.

Sorting Out:-

  • Students discussed similarities and differences between themselves and their friends during circle time and sorted the same on a Venn diagram.

Upcoming activities/ HW: Complete the given worksheet of Venn Diagram.

Subject: Math

Activities done this week: 

                                 MEASUREMENT

  • Students defined Non-Standard Unit of Measurement [“Hand Span”, ”Foot Span” and “Cubit”] in their notebook.
  • Students developed their knowledge of measuring the length of the table by cubit and hand span and noted down in their notebook.
  • Students measured their own height using satin ribbons and pasted it on the wall.
  • Students measured the size of their foot by colouring the boxes.[from the heel to the tip of the toe]

                          FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT

  • Students demonstrated their understanding by completing their assessment on the topics- Place Value and 2D Shapes

Upcoming activities/ HW: Complete the given worksheet of Non-Standard Unit of Measurement.

Activities done this week:

     Grammar

  • Students were familiarized with the concept of “adjective” by describing their body parts [eyes, colour of hair, height, colour compelxion]

       Reading and writing:

  • Students described a given noun using adjectives in a group activity.
  • Students did spell drill and wrote new sight words in their notebook.
  • Students defined adjective and identified adjectives in the given sentences, done in their notebook.
  • Students played Word Association Game to have a deeper knowledge of adjective.
  • Students played Word Association Game to have a deeper knowledge of adjective.

Activities done this week:   حروف تہجی کو اعراب زبراور پیش کے ساتھ پڑھنا

اور لکھنا سکھا اس کے علاوہ اُردو کی نظموں کو دبارہ پڑھا گیا۔
